Another advantage of the treatment with varnish is that the slate will not absorb flavours and odour from food such as cheese selections, meaning you won't have to worry about any flavours carrying across to your next dish. After use, simply clean with a mild detergent and avoid submersing in water. This attractive slate also makes a perfect buffet sign when used with Olympia's presentation easel (GF317) and can be written on with liquid chalk pens and cleaned using Securit blackboard cleaner (Y994).
