Why are Woodson hot bars more expensive?

Woodson uses superior heating, airflow and insulation systems that keep food hot without drying it out or causing sogginess. Combined with Australian-made reliability and clean stainless profiles, the extra cost reflects long-term performance.

Does Woodson offer matching hot and cold food display lines?

Yes. Hot bars, cold bars and bain maries share the same design language, allowing operators to build continuous serving lines.

Are Woodson bain maries drop-in or benchtop?

Both. Woodson offers benchtop bain maries as well as drop-in units for custom counters.

Yes. Woodson units are known for their longevity, stable heating and strong Australian support network.

Installation & service

Most benchtop units are plug-and-play; confirm circuit capacity for larger units.Drop-in bain maries require professional installation to ensure correct drainage and ventilation.Hot bars and cold bars may need coordinated cabinet work for a clean front-counter finish.Stoddart provides national service coverage and excellent parts availability.

Common misuse

Using Woodson for purely back-of-house holding when a cheaper bain marie would suffice. Woodson’s value is maximised when appearance and temperature stability matter, especially in front-of-house. Assuming all hot bars are the same. Many cheaper imports soften fried foods or create condensation; Woodson’s airflow + overhead heat system is specifically engineered to avoid this. Mixing unmatched hot and cold bars from different brands. This leads to inconsistent bench heights, visual mismatch and service-line gaps. Woodson works best as a complete system. Incorrectly installing drop-in units without ventilation planning. Drop-in bain maries need proper ventilation or heat build-up may reduce performance. Purchasing purely based on price. Woodson is not meant to compete with budget import units; its advantage is reliability, appearance and consistent temperature holding.
