blends robust stainless-steel construction with precise electronic
control for consistent output in demanding kitchens.
- Duplex plate design – aluminium core for fast heat, stainless surface for hygiene

- Compact footprint – only 350mm wide, ideal for tight café benches
- Supported in Australia – local parts and service through Sammic’s AU network
Duplex smooth-plate grilling for fast, consistent toasting
The Sammic Fiamma CG 4 SS Duplex Contact Grill delivers even toasting
and searing on a compact 350mm bench footprint. Its 250 × 250mm smooth
upper and lower plates give plenty of cooking area for paninis, wraps and
breakfast items while still fitting small café counters and food trucks.
Duplex construction combines a stainless-steel working surface with an
aluminium inner core. This design transfers heat rapidly, recovers
quickly between batches and allows abrasive scrubbing on the outer surface
without damaging the plate.
Engineered for professional performance
Digital control with smart feedback
A four-digit display shows both set temperature and real plate
temperature, so chefs can see at a glance when the grill is ready to load.
Temperature adjusts in fine steps up to high grilling temperatures, while the
integrated timer offers a simple countdown for repeatable toasting cycles.
A dedicated switch lets you disable the upper element when you want to
use the unit as a flat grill. An “H” symbol on the display indicates that the
plates are still hot even after switch-off, supporting safer operation.

Compliance, usage & applications (AU)
Compact contact grill for busy commercial lines
The CG 4 SS is suitable for cafés, QSR outlets, hotel breakfast bars and
restaurant prep benches that need reliable toasting in a small footprint.
Install on a stable, heat-resistant surface, connect to a dedicated 10A
outlet and allow ventilation around the unit for safe operation.
Operator best practices
Daily routine for consistent toasting
- Preheat fully before loading to avoid pale markings and slow cook times.
- Use the timer as a reminder, then fine-tune by sight for your bread and fillings.
- Run as a flat grill by switching off the upper plate when cooking open melts or eggs.
- Clean warm, not cold – wipe at around 100°C using a small amount of water and detergent, then dry thoroughly.

Smart energy & ROI analysis
Low running cost, high service capacity
Energy use & cost
- Nominal load: 1700W (1.7kW)
- Approx. running cost: ~$0.51 per hour (at $0.30/kWh)
- Typical daily use: 2 hours active grilling ≈ $1.00/day
Labour & consistency gains
- Digital timer reduces re-makes and wastage from over- or under-toasting.
- Fast heat recovery keeps service speed high during busy periods.
- Duplex plate cleans faster than cast iron, saving end-of-shift labour.
Production snapshot
Typical cycle time: 3–4 minutes Paninis per cycle: 2–3 Estimated per hour: 30–40 serves Extra labour saved: 20–30 minutes per busy day
For most cafés and QSR sites, the grill pays for itself in 3–6 months through
higher throughput and fewer failed orders.

Frequently asked questions
How long should I preheat the CG 4 SS before first use?
Allow roughly 10–15 minutes for the plates to reach the set temperature and stabilise before loading your first batch.
Can I use metal scrapers on the plates?
The stainless-steel outer surface allows firm scrubbing with non-sharp tools. Avoid gouging the surface and always clean while the plate is warm, not glowing hot.
What happens when the timer finishes?
The timer sounds an audible alarm and the countdown returns to zero, but the grill stays on. This keeps service flowing while still reminding staff to unload product.
Is this grill suitable for continuous service during rush periods?
Yes. The duplex plate and 1700W element are designed for repeated cycles. For best performance, avoid overloading the plate and leave a small gap between products for heat circulation.
